Duna Spirit
The Duna Spirit Project is situated in the south-westerly section of Budapest, in the part of the city characterised by the Nagytétény Campona dating from the Roman era and the Baroque Száraz-Rudnyánszky Castle, in a position that is key to the southerly development of the capital.
The exceptionally good geographical features of Nagytétény (District 22 of Budapest) made it an attractive dwelling area as early as back in Roman times and the memories of past centuries are kept alive in the district’s architecture. The most significant historic building in the area is the baroque Száraz-Rudnyánszky Palace. By connecting the new town district and the park of the palace in multiple ways, the Duna Spirit Project will build a bridge between past and present symbolically and in reality alike.
As part of the most important communal objectives, the Duna Spirit Project aims to reinforce this structural relationship within the city, to lay the foundations for a physical and spiritual renewal and to supplement the existing institutional network. The Duna Spirit Project offers human-scaled buildings and urban spaces, scales we would not often find in grand urban developments schemes nowadays.
